Poised for the future

With the purchase of 34+ acres of prime lakefront property in Central Florida, Ligonier Ministries launches the most ambitious initiative in its history. This striking setting is now home to Ligonier Academy of Biblical and Theological Studies and will serve as the integrated campus for ministry international headquarters and our various outreaches. The vision for the Academy is nothing less than to establish a learning center for a new generation of reformers trained to lead churches, plant mission works, and live out their faith without compromise in a culture increasingly hostile to orthodox Christianity.

Committed to training Christian disciples who live in the Word and live out the gospel, we want to build Ligonier Academy into a learning environment that prepares both lay people and pastors for real-world service and ministry. Our leadership and faculty consist of some of the most well respected Reformed pastors and scholars in the United States. By providing a destination for study, fellowship, and collegial interaction, Ligonier Ministries will be able to more effectively teach Reformation truths to a new generation.

Grounded in the past

The Ligonier Valley Study Center began in 1971 in the mountains of western Pennsylvania, where students came for the clear biblical instruction of Dr. R.C. Sproul. Since then, Ligonier ministries has expanded and moved, but never wavered from its founding vision.

When Ligonier Ministries first began, it was a place. A destination of hope for passionate learners and followers of Christ. It quickly grew to become an organization with international scope, but its origin was as a place of study and fellowship centered on the teaching of R.C. Sproul.

Ligonier Academy and the beautiful campus on which it sits draws on our study center heritage of the past and brings us full circle to expand our opportunities to ground lay people and clergy alike more deeply in the faith, both in the classroom and through distance learning.
